Job summary

VONNE (Voluntary Organisations' Network North East) invites applications for a Senior Project Support to lead the Disability Heritage in North Tyneside project. The Project Worker will coordinate activities, support volunteers, and manage oral history interviews within a 16-hour-per-week schedule over a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role requires safeguarding, GDPR compliance, and collaboration with partner organisations to achieve milestones, with a view to developing a digital heritage

Qualifications

• Experience supporting disabled people or community groups.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Understanding of inclusion and accessibility.
• Basic digital skills.
• Experience in oral history, community heritage, archive digitisation, or GDPR-compliant digital storage would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the Disability Heritage in North Tyneside: The NTDF Story project.
• Manage project activities and maintain records.
• Support 10-12 disabled volunteers.
• Schedule and facilitate around 40 oral history interviews.
• Ensure safeguarding and GDPR compliance.
• Oversee digitisation and secure management of heritage materials.
• Liaise with partner organisations and monitor project progress.
• Help ensure milestones are achieved.
• Support creation of a digital heritage archive.
• Prepare materials for a community exhibition.
• Contribute to project evaluation and long-term sustainability planning.
