Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Paramedic Disability Assessor in Weston-super-Mare on a hybrid basis, with a 9-5, Mon-Fri schedule. The role involves conducting assessments for PIP and producing comprehensive reports for DWP, while not making benefit decisions.

You will work with a registered healthcare professional qualification, deliver impartial evaluations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies. Benefits include salary reviews, flexibility, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with NMC/HCPC registration.
• Minimum of one year post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
• Experience working with complex health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments at centres with some visits.
• Evaluate impact of disability/health conditions on daily living.
• Assess a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
• Produce impartial, accurate written reports using the designated IT system.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of policies and assessment criteria.
• Adhere to Safeguarding, Equality, Data Protection and Risk Management standards.
