Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Disability Assessor in Weston-super-Mare, offering hybrid working and a salary of £40,000–£42,000 with benefits. The role involves conducting assessments for PIP, producing evidence-based reports for the DWP, and maintaining professional standards.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with opportunities for salary reviews and career progression. The ideal candidate is a registered healthcare professional with at least one year of post-registration experience,

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with active NMC/HCPC registration.
• Minimum of one year post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
• Experience working with complex health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments of claimants at Assessment Centres, with community visits as needed.
• Perform evaluations to determine impact of disability on daily living.
• Assess a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
• Produce impartial, high-quality written reports using a designated IT system.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and assessment criteria.
• Adhere to professional standards including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Data Protection and Risk Management.
