Job summary

The Co-op in Manchester is seeking a Head of Threat and Vulnerability Management to lead how we identify, assess and respond to security risks across our technology estate, protecting members, customers and colleagues.

You will shape threat intelligence and vulnerability programs, oversee scanning and remediation, and report to senior stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading threat intelligence and vulnerability management in a complex organisation.
• Experience developing security strategies and roadmaps.
• Ability to prioritise and manage risk in a practical, business-focused way.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop threat and vulnerability management strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee threat intelligence to identify and respond to emerging risks.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, prioritisation and remediation across systems.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to reduce risks and improve security posture.
• Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders on threats, risks and actions.
• Lead incident response activity where threats or vulnerabilities are exploited.
• Develop a high-performing team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
