Job summary

Barclays is seeking a senior leader to own a portfolio of Retail & Wholesale client relationships, translating demand and supply-chain trends into commercial strategies that drive resilience, revenue and franchise value.

You will lead a large team, set strategic direction, and partner with risk, compliance and product teams to deliver sustainable growth across the division. The role requires deep sector expertise, stakeholder leadership and the ability to negotiate with major clients.

Responsibilities

• Development of strategic direction for relationship management, including up-to-date methodologies and processes.
• Oversight of colleagues' performance and department goals to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage stakeholders and maintain quality of external third-party services.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for relationship management.
• Manage relationship risk with mitigation strategies and alignment with compliance.
• Monitor financial performance: revenue, profitability and cost control.
• Conduct market research on trends, competition and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
