WIG is expanding in Manchester and establishing a Regions & Nations hub to drive place-based leadership across the UK. The Head of Regions and Nations will build a high-performing, inclusive team, shape long-term strategy and develop a replicable delivery model for multiple regions.

The role requires engaging senior civil servants, university leaders and corporate partners, with a focus on tangible regional outcomes and sustainable investment.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• A postgraduate qualification in public policy, regional or economic development, leadership, social science or a related field is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Take personal accountability for the strategic success of the GM cross-sector leadership programme and LGY, ensuring strong outcomes and investment potential.
• Refine and own the GM/LGY programme business model and ensure economics support a replicable approach.
• Lead relationships with GMCA, University of Manchester and other regional partners to align with local priorities.
• Convene and curate GM/LGY cohorts and regional dialogue programmes across the city-region.
