Cedar in North-West London seeks a Director to lead the development finance team, originating and structuring opportunities, and managing underwriting and credit processes. The role involves overseeing drawdowns and portfolio performance with senior stakeholders.

The candidate will build relationships with developers, brokers and property professionals, presenting credit papers to committees and guiding a small team to meet origination targets.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of originating development finance opportunities.
• Excellent communication with borrowers, brokers and intermediaries.
• Confident presenting credit papers to credit committee and senior management.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of development appraisals and structuring development finance facilities.
• Understanding of credit underwriting process, including legal, valuations, monitoring surveyor reports.

Director - Private Credit

Location: North-West London

A well-established, specialist development finance lender is seeking a highly capable and motivated Director to join its development finance team. This is a high-profile origination role, ideal for a strong performer with existing development finance experience from either a bank or non-bank lending background.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new development finance opportunities by building and managing relationships with developers, brokers/intermediaries and property professionals
• Originate and structure development finance opportunities
• Manage the underwriting and credit process for new transactions
• Oversee drawdowns and redemptions, ensuring the loan portfolio performs consistently
• Build and/or manage a small team to support origination targets and portfolio management

Skills & Experience

• A strong, established track record of originating development finance opportunities and managing a loan portfolio
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with borrowers, brokers and intermediaries
• Confident presenting credit papers to credit committee and senior management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of development appraisals and structuring development finance facilities
• Understanding of the credit underwriting process, including legal process, valuations and monitoring surveyor reports
