Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in the United Kingdom is seeking an Associate Director/Director to lead and grow its Civil Engineering offering across Yorkshire. The role may be based in Leeds or York, with the flexibility to suit the right person.

You will mentor engineers, oversee project delivery, win work, and shape the strategic direction of the business within a collaborative, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or equivalent) with a strong background in land development, drainage and infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing projects and client relationships.
• Commercial awareness, with a track record of winning or growing work.
• Marine, flood alleviation or coastal experience is desirable but not essential.
• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style, with the ambition to shape the direction of a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil team's technical output across Leeds and Hull offices.
• Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring quality, programme and commercial success.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, and win new work.
• Work with architects, planners, local authorities and statutory bodies.
• Contribute to business planning, fee proposals and growth.
