Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in York seeks a CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEER with a focus on highways and related civil projects. You will help design, develop and deliver practical solutions for a range of building and infrastructure projects while aiming to progress toward chartered status.

You should have a BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering with 1–3 years of UK experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage software is preferred, and a driving licence is required for site

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering required; MSc would be useful
• Interest in highways and other project types
• 1–3 years experience with civil/structural engineers
• Working towards chartership or chartered status
• Experience in drainage design and external works

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver civil engineering solutions for highways and related projects
• Produce technical documentation including Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Impact Assessments
• Assist with on-site assessments and reporting to support planning applications
