Job summary

London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) is part of Global University Systems and seeks an Academic Director of Teaching & Learning to provide senior academic leadership across weekend delivery and seven-day operations.

You will oversee learning, teaching and assessment, shape the college's academic strategy, ensure quality assurance and compliance, and manage partnerships with validating/awarding bodies (UCA and ULaw), reporting to College Deans.

Qualifications

• Higher degree in a relevant subject area or in higher education teaching.
• Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or higher, or equivalent professional recognition.
• Experience leading improvements through academic teams and working with validating/awarding bodies.
• Knowledge of OfS Conditions of Registration, QA frameworks and awarding body expectations.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior academic leadership across LCCA and weekend delivery.
• Oversee learning, teaching and assessment practices and quality assurance.
• Develop and implement the College’s academic strategy and academic partnerships.
• Lead operational management of partnerships with validating/awarding bodies (UCA, ULaw).
• Collaborate with College Deans and colleagues to improve student outcomes.
