Job Title: Director of Sales
The Director of Sales is responsible for all sales efforts for Maxx Royal Maldives, which is opening soon. The role involves creating and activating sales strategies, recommending growth initiatives, monitoring progress, and ensuring the brand's proper positioning within the Luxury UK marketplace.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with Maxx Royal Resorts Sales Headquarters to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.
- Create and implement sales plans; provide insights for marketing strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives and focus sales efforts on development segments.
- Set targets and establish necessary reporting mechanisms to achieve these goals.
- Collaborate with the operations team to develop sales-influenced segments.
- Understand the full commercial strategy of the brand to meet targets.
- Build relationships with revenue management and reservations teams to effectively sell properties.
- Analyze current market conditions to keep the hotel competitive, including monitoring market share through STR reports.
- Monitor demand, identify risks and opportunities, and introduce sales activities to maximize revenue and mitigate risks.
- Gather market intelligence by researching customer attitudes and concerns that could impact future revenue.
- Become an expert in the UK market and understand how to target vertical markets.
- Participate in domestic trade shows, FAM trips, exhibitions, and trade organizations.
- Produce accurate, timely reports for Maxx Royal Maldives.
- Contribute to developing the annual business and marketing plan in collaboration with Sales Headquarters.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the UK market and Maldives.
- Degree in sales, business development, or related field.
- Assertive, professional, positive, with a proven ability to develop business.
- Deep understanding of the UK luxury hotel market.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a positive attitude in a busy environment; innovative mindset.
