Understanding Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Director of Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to lead the technology portfolio, governance and strategic delivery function. Based in Stevenage, the role reports to the CTO and drives enterprise-wide transformation through robust governance and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience overseeing technology portfolios and PMO functions.
• Proven track record in governance, investment prioritisation and benefits realisation.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex technology programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with C-suite and executive teams.
• Good understanding of MSP, PRINCE2, MoP or APM qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PMO across Group IT.
• Drive technology strategy execution and enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Establish portfolio governance, investment prioritisation and financial controls.
• Oversee complex, business-critical technology projects and programmes.
• Manage portfolio budgets, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with CTO and senior leaders to influence strategic decisions.
