Job summary

Morgan Philips Group is seeking a Director Portfolio Management Office in Stevenage with responsibility for governance, delivery discipline and enterprise-wide coordination of technology change. This role leads the PMO, aligns strategy with delivery plans and sponsors critical cross-functional projects to ensure timely, controlled outcomes.

The role emphasizes executive reporting, stakeholder collaboration and building high-performing teams, with a hybrid work pattern including some home working.

Qualifications

• Experience as a director or senior leader in portfolio, programme, governance.
• Experience establishing or transforming portfolio governance and planning.
• Strong investment prioritisation and financial control knowledge.
• Executive stakeholder leadership and clear communication.
• Degree-level education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO with governance, planning and delivery across Group IT.
• Sponsor or direct priority strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Define and evolve PMO operating model and delivery framework.
• Provide concise reporting on progress, risk and benefits to executives.
• Balance strategic intent with pragmatic delivery and continuous improvement.
