A leading charity in East Anglia is seeking a Director of People and Culture to enhance its organizational effectiveness. This role involves leading HR functions, promoting a positive culture, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have senior HR leadership experience and a strong understanding of UK Employment Law. Regular travel between Norwich and Cambridge is required.
I am delighted to be working in partnership with East Anglian Air Ambulance in the appointment of their new Director of People and Culture.
EAAA relies on its people, working in an effective culture to deliver lifesaving interventions and community support across our region. Over the last four years, the organization has embraced 24/7 air operations, launched a region-wide CPR programme, extended its Aftercare services, and is about to embark on an ambitious growth project. Your role will be to maintain the organization's agility and effectiveness through its people and culture, supporting the next phase of change.
As part of the Executive Team and reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will advise trustees on all people-related matters and provide expertise on organizational development through its people. Your responsibilities will include leading the HR, Volunteering, and Community Training functions. This role offers intrinsic rewards and requires an empathetic mindset coupled with a commercial focus. As an experienced HR professional with senior leadership experience, you will communicate effectively across the organization and understand the nuances of a blended workforce. You will act as a conduit between departments, challenge thinking, and monitor organizational morale to keep the charity progressing.
A perceptive leader, you will build strong relationships, promote transparency, and uphold best practices. You’ll lead by example, be approachable, and understand the roles, team priorities, and ambitions of every person at EAAA.
The role will be based at the Norwich operation, with regular travel to the Cambridge site, so applicants should ideally be based in the eastern region.
Closing date for applications: Friday, 30th May.
First-round interviews will be conducted via Teams, with final interviews in person on Wednesday, 2nd July.
