Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Director for Manufacturing in Macclesfield to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for process execution, production, material usage and inventory for next-supply chain customers under VMI.

You will drive transformational change, ensure regulatory and financial policy compliance, and align resources to achieve budgets while maintaining licenses and stakeholder relationships across the site and larger EMEA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain Management (or related field).
• Significant experience in manufacturing and supply chain.
• Aseptic or sterile manufacturing experience.
• Proven leadership promoting motivation and empowering others to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to lead cross functional working groups; set priorities, resources and targets.
• Proven negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal leadership skills.
• Budgetary and resource management planning experience.
• Conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking.
• Effective problem and conflict resolution skills and proven team focus.
• Experience in managing projects in a pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for processes within the PET; oversee production, materials and assets.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, SHE, SOX and business procedures; manage budgets.
• Maintain capacity and capability to meet demand; manage stakeholder relationships.
• Contribute to site/EMEA leadership strategy and decision-making.
