UK Multi-Site | FMCG | Strategic Leadership Role

• 2 days + per week on site

A leading FMCG business is seeking an experienced IT Director to oversee its technology strategy and operations across multiple sites. This role is ideal for a senior technology leader familiar with enterprise systems, infrastructure, and aligning IT with business objectives.

The role focuses on SAP (S4 Hana, PLM, EWM, BTP, IBP), Microsoft 365, PowerBI, Oracle EPM, Azure, and hybrid infrastructure, driving digital transformation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the UK-wide IT strategy aligned with business goals and global standards.
• Manage day-to-day IT operations across manufacturing sites, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks, and cloud services.
• Lead and mentor the local IT team; coordinate with global service providers and support partners.
• Manage IT budgets, ensuring strategic investments and operational efficiency.
• Implement enterprise applications within SAP and Microsoft ecosystems.
• Evaluate and adopt AI technologies to optimize processes and reduce manual workloads.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure IT supports business growth.

Experience and Qualifications

• Strong background in enterprise technology, especially SAP (S4 Hana, PLM, BTP, IBP), Microsoft 365, PowerBI, PowerApps, and Oracle EPM.
• Experience in multi-site operations, preferably in food, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven success in infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integration projects.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels and translating technical details into business value.
• Pragmatic problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
• Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and experienced in leading teams through change.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.

• Experience with SAP system integration and legacy system upgrades.
• Knowledge of industrial computing and factory environments.
