Job summary

Union Maritime is seeking a seasoned Risk professional to own the group’s enterprise risk framework across the organization. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating market, credit, and regulatory risks at both group and entity levels.

Responsibilities include leading market risk hedging strategies, credit risk management, liquidity oversight, and investor reporting. The position requires 15+ years in a trading/asset-heavy environment and a strong office presence five days per

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a trading house or asset-heavy organisation.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lead risk across complex group structures and report to investors/joint venture partners.
• Office-based role requiring five days on-site work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on market risk: commodity exposure, asset and charter risk, foreign exchange, and interest rate risk, including hedging strategy and execution.
• Manage credit and counterparty risk within the group's trading and commercial activities.
• Oversee financial regulatory and compliance risk, monitoring regulatory changes and implications for financing/capital structure.
• Manage liquidity and working capital risk in line with the group’s capital structure strategy.
• Own reporting to existing and prospective investors and joint venture partners with institutional-grade financial reporting and updates.
• Oversee a team of senior finance professionals across the group.
