Job summary

Union Maritime in London, a fast-growing international shipping group, seeks a Risk professional to own the enterprise risk framework across the group, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated. The Position

We are looking for a Risk professional to own the enterprise risk framework across the group, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and appropriately managed or mitigated at group and entity level.

Responsibilities:

- Lead on market risk: commodity exposure,asset and charter risk,foreign exchange, and interest rate risk, including hedging strategy and execution.

- Manage credit and counterparty risk, particularly in the context of the group's trading and commercial activities.

- Lead on financial regulatory and compliance risk, monitoring the evolving regulatory environment and its implications for the group's financing and capital structure.

- Manage liquidity and working capital management risk in conjunction with the group’s capital structure strategy

- Own the reporting and communication process with existing and prospective investors and joint venture partners providing institutional-grade financial reporting and strategic updates

- Oversee a team of senior finance professionals across the group, including finance operations.

Job Knowledge and Experience

- Presentation skills should be top notch (written and oral internal and external) including advanced PowerPoint and Excel.

- 15 + years of experience working in a trading house or asset heavy organisation.

- A self-starter who handles ambiguity well.
