Central London – commute from Soho, Covent Garden, Holborn, Mayfair, Marylebone, Westminster, City of London, Southbank, Fitzrovia

Are you an Engineering Manager or Director from a hotel maintenance background looking to join a leading global hospitality group? In this role you will oversee the full engineering function at a high‑end property, playing a key part in long‑term asset protection, safety, and operational excellence.

This company is recognised internationally for its premium guest experience and strong brand standards. They are investing in modernisation, refurbishment and performance improvements across the estate and need a Director of Engineering to lead operations at one of their flagship Central London properties.

The Role

• Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets
• Maintaining Safety and Compliance Standards
• Asset Protection and Preventive Maintenance
• Leading Teams and Contractors
• Delivering Capital and Renovation Projects
• Overseeing a team of Engineers and external contractors

The Person

• Chief Engineer or Engineering Director with experience in the hotel or large‑scale hospitality sector
• Strong technical knowledge of plant equipment, building operations, and life safety systems
• Holds relevant qualifications such as IOSH, Legionella and statutory compliance certifications
• Experience managing refurbishment or upgrade projects
• Commercially aware with strong leadership and communication skills
