Job Description:

As Business Development Lead, you will be expected to conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and demonstrate strong leadership.

Your main focus will be business development for the client, as well as supporting the internal team. This includes leading by example, motivating staff, and helping them develop their potential.

As a Subject Matter Expert in climate change and sustainability, you will develop and maximize the contract and consultancy experience for our clients. You will also lead projects, supervise consultants, and actively seek new business opportunities to support the organization’s growth.

Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify opportunities proactively.
• Develop and deliver business growth strategies.
• Write bids, develop proposals, and respond to tenders.
• Engage with clients, potential clients, and partners.
• Promote the business through social media platforms like LinkedIn.
• Develop and present case studies and lessons learned from projects.
• Contact subcontractors and clients to identify further opportunities.
• Manage large client accounts, reporting to senior leadership.

Internal Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with senior staff, clients, and stakeholders.
• Support leadership initiatives.
• Participate in business development activities and client interactions.
• Assist with bids and securing new work.
• Represent the company at events and conferences.
• Manage and supervise technical staff and resources.
• Set strategic direction and implement strategies.
• Maximize utilization of service stream consultants.
• Manage team workloads and objectives.
• Occasional office attendance at Bristol and London offices.
