With teams and offices based across the UK, Europe, APAC and the US we continue to partner with first class candidates and clients across the globe.

After a record breaking 2024 our EU and ROW team are looking to expand further with a strong focus on Digital, AI, Data Analytics and R&D IT markets. We have a big team focusing on this in the US and are looking to build upon existing relationships whilst targeting new customers.

Within this role you would be heavily involved in the divisional strategy and our expansion into this new market.

** Please note, business development experience within Recruitment/Staffing is essential for this role **

Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will be at the forefront of our team with a core focus on our business development efforts, driving sales and expanding our footprint across the region within the R&D IT space.
  • Identify new opportunities with clients for services including Permanent, Contract /Freelance, and SOW staffing.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities through a variety of channels, working intelligently in line with market developments and Planet Pharma’s sales strategy.
  • Effectively communicate with and work with our Recruitment Delivery team in order to meet client hiring needs.
  • Work in a solution orientated manner to proactively promote Planet Pharma and successfully secure new clients and assignments.
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and work with internal and external stakeholders to create communication lines to support successful fulfilment of client needs.
  • Negotiate and conclude deals with clients and propose contracts.
  • Handle the communication between client portfolio and various internal departments, by acting as a primary point of contact, in order to drive opportunity and keep clients optimally informed.
  • Some travel will be required in order to visit clients and to visit our office in Melbourne.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Demonstrable track record of successful business development within Recruitment Solutions across the Life Science/Pharma or IT and Analytics industry.

A proactive and strategic approach with experience in successfully building a division/desk.

Previous experience in a 360 or business development role within recruitment is required.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and fluent in English, additional language skills are an advantage but not necessity.
