Job summary

JPMorganChase in the Applied AI/ML team seeks an Applied AI/ML Director Researcher to transform operations by leveraging agentic AI and frontier models. This role is for a builder, a scientific pioneer and mentor who bridges theory and enterprise-grade, large-scale, deployable systems.

You will lead architecture, guide teams, and partner with business lines to deliver high-impact AI solutions across the firm, with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• Research in top AI labs, director level or equivalent.
• Strong AI fundamentals with data analysis and experimental design.
• Proven track record deploying AI/ML at scale.
• Familiar with distributed computing for training and serving.
• Experience integrating user feedback for agentic refinement.
• Experience building and leading AI teams.

Responsibilities

• Architects and develops GenAI and Agentic solutions to automate complex processes.
• Assists lines of business to solve priority use cases.
• Delivers multiple agents that collaborate to solve large problems.
• Designs and builds reusable AI services and libraries.
• Mentors AI engineers to foster excellence and learning.
• Ensures scalable, reliable, secure AI/ML production deployments.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to scale solutions and maximize impact.
