JPMorganChase in the Applied AI/ML team seeks an Applied AI/ML Director Researcher to transform operations by leveraging agentic AI and frontier models. This role is for a builder, a scientific pioneer and mentor who bridges theory and enterprise-grade, large-scale, deployable systems.

You will lead architecture, guide teams, and partner with business lines to deliver high-impact AI solutions across the firm, with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• Research in top AI labs, director level or equivalent.
• Strong AI fundamentals with data analysis and experimental design.
• Proven track record deploying AI/ML at scale.
• Familiar with distributed computing for training and serving.

Job Responsibilities

• Architects and develops GenAI and Agentic solutions to automate complex operational processes
• AssistsJPMorganChase (JPMC) Linesof Businessandteams to directly solve for priority use cases within the domain
• Delivers multiple agents that can collaborate to solve large, complex problems, orchestrate end to end workflows and scale across JPMC
• Designs and build services and libraries that AI teams want to use
• Mentors and inspire a team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning
• Ensures the scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML solutions in a production environment, with a focus on long-term sustainability
• Collaborates with stakeholders and technical partners acrossLines of Businessand firmwide to scale solutions andmaximize impact

Required qualifications,capabilitiesand skills

• Research experience or have worked in one of the top commercial AI research labs, in a Director level or equivalent role
• Deep understanding of AI fundamentals and practical experience with data analysis and experimental design
• Proventrack recordof deploying AI/ML applications in a production environmentat scale
• Familiarity with distributed computing patterns for training, serving, persistence of state
• Experience integrating user feedback toestablishagenticrefinementand self-improving AI applications
• Experience in building and leading high-performing AI teams

Preferred qualifications,capabilitiesand skills

• PhD preferred but notrequired
• Expertisein deploying models on AWS platforms such as SageMaker or Bedrockwill bestronglyconsidered, but notrequired
