Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Glasgow is looking for a Principal Cable System Engineer. This role involves developing specifications for HV/EHV cabling systems and providing technical support throughout project stages. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Power Engineering and has extensive experience in cable system design. Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a cable‑related role supporting FEED design and/or detailed design.
• Ability to manage and lead HV/EHV cable designs at all project stages.
• Familiarity with National Grid and DNO standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications and conduct design reviews.
• Provide technical support on all aspects of HV cable system engineering.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company procedures.
