Job summary

Wade Macdonald represents an international logistics and distribution group recruiting a Director of Group Financial Control. The role reports to the CFO and anchors group reporting, technical accounting, tax, audit and systems transformation.

You will lead a cross-border finance team, partner with senior leaders and drive robust governance while enabling growth. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive international finance leadership, strong technical accounting

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience across group reporting, consolidation, tax, audit and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group financial control function and build a high-performing team.
• Own year-end reporting, group consolidation and external audit processes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance across the organisation.
• Support accounting during acquisitions and integrations.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial information for management.
• Translate financial and operational performance into actionable insights.
• Support investor reporting and analysis of commercial drivers.
• Oversee ERP implementation and consolidation tooling improvements.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance across the group.
• Develop and embed group accounting policies and manuals.
