Job summary

Rippling is hiring a Director to own Global Payroll Compliance. You will lead a distributed team embedded in local markets, shaping the operating model, regulatory strategy, and year-end readiness. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, TaxOps, Support, and Legal to ensure accurate payroll and proactive compliance.

You will coach leads, drive cross-market consistency, and own the content strategy for compliance communications and country guides. London-based with global scope.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in payroll, tax, or regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong ability to operate inside product and engineering teams; write specs and review designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Payroll Compliance team across premium markets.
• Define and formalise the operating model and escalation paths with Corporate Compliance.
• Own regulatory monitoring and the global compliance roadmap; document gaps and changes.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, lead audit preparation and remediation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, TaxOps, Legal, Compliance and GTM.
• Create and maintain Help Center articles and country guides; ensure reliable compliance communications.
• Coordinate year-end deliverables across markets to avoid surprises.
