Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Global Payroll team. You will help advance our full‑service payroll platform, handling configuration and calculations for hundreds of thousands of employees.

You will own initiatives, partner with design/product, and rearchitect components to scale. Requires 6+ years of experience, strong CS fundamentals, and experience with Python, Django and React. In-office role with collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ability to own and deliver projects from specs to releases.
• Strong problem solving and system design skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the payroll platform team.
• Implement maintainable, scalable solutions with high quality and reliability.
• Mentor other engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Build and operate tools, monitors, and processes across the org.
• Participate in on-call rotation to handle production issues.
