Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Finance Outsourcing Governance & Control function in the UK seeks a Director (P3) to lead outsourcing governance activities, ensure regulatory alignment, and drive improvements across finance outsourcing arrangements.

You will engage senior stakeholders, translate regulatory requirements into practical controls, coordinate risk assessments, and deliver timely reporting using data analytics and advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word capabilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of outsourcing governance, third-party risk, or comparable control environments within financial services is desirable.
• Ability to interpret regulatory and policy requirements and apply them in practice.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, capable of addressing senior and technical audiences.
• Proven ability to influence management decisions and escalate material issues promptly.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and large data sets; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with Copilot or AI-enabled productivity tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate key FOGC governance activities, ensuring regulatory alignment and Firm policy adherence.
• Lead periodic review and annual validation of outsourcing arrangements, coordinating senior functional reviews and remediation plans.
• Interpret regulatory and policy requirements and translate them into practical governance processes, controls and guidance.
• Build relationships across Finance, Compliance, business functions and global teams; provide guidance to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate outsourcing risk assessments and review submissions, challenging assumptions and escalating material gaps.
• Lead responses to regulatory, audit and senior management requests with timely, evidence-based submissions.
• Head defined regulatory and governance change initiatives; coordinate stakeholders and ensure timely delivery.
• Produce and present management information and governance reporting for risk and control oversight.
• Oversee data quality across outsourcing inventories and supporting documentation; address gaps and improve accuracy.
• Maintain procedures, controls and governance records to support audit trails and consistent practices.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and standardise governance processes using data and digital tools.
