Qualifications

• 7+ years in pre‑sales technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or equivalent.
• 3+ years managing or leading pre‑sales/solutions engineering teams.
• Proven success with large enterprise customers and complex buying cycles.
• Strong proficiency with enterprise AI deployments, API integrations, and production system architectures.
• Excellent communication with executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Collaborative mindset with track record of scalable teams and processes.
• Thrive in fast-moving, high-growth environments with ambiguity.
• Executive presence and consultative skills to earn leadership trust.

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and manage a team of Solutions Engineers with technical guidance and career development.
• Establish and operationalize best practices for pre‑sales solutioning and POC validation.
• Partner with Sales leadership to co‑develop go‑to‑market strategies and align execution with goals.
• Engage with strategic enterprise prospects through discovery, solution design, and ROI validation.
• Ensure the team delivers compelling demonstrations, prototypes, and architectures tailored to customers.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to incorporate customer insights into roadmaps.
• Represent Decagon as a senior technical leader in customer meetings and events.
• Define scalable processes and assets to drive efficiency and long‑term growth.
• Stay current on enterprise AI adoption, integration patterns, and competitive landscape.
