Job summary

AstraZeneca plc in Cambridge is seeking a Director, Data & Information Marketplace to set the direction for an enterprise-wide data and information marketplace, enabling trusted data to accelerate science, operations and decisions.

You will own products end-to-end, design governance and operating practices, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, user- and machine-friendly experiences across regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading delivery or change in data marketplaces or enterprise data platforms.
• Ability to translate user and regulatory needs into intuitive experiences for humans and machines.
• Knowledge of data quality, observability, lineage, access management and governance.
• Product management ownership for enterprise data capabilities, including UX and adoption.
• Understanding of regulated environments balancing accessibility with appropriate control.
• Ability to innovate and apply emerging technologies to improve speed, quality and compliance.
• Strong collaboration and leadership across functions to drive alignment.
• Excellent communication, planning and delivery with data-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve marketplace strategy, capabilities and governance.
• Own marketplace products end-to-end with a clear backlog and seamless experiences.
• Implement scalable data access, lineage, observability and quality controls.
• Lead lifecycle practices for data assets and information governance.
• Embed governance and control requirements across services; manage risk.
• Deliver cost visibility and opportunities to improve efficiency across platforms.
• Lead change initiatives and promote AI-assisted stewardship and automation.
