Job description

Social network you want to login/join with:

Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where creativity meets cutting-edge technology? Are you a problem-solver who enjoys building from scratch? If so, then we want you!

Ready to steer the digital ship with flair? We're on the hunt for a Director Digital Product Owner who's not just experienced but also brings a sprinkle of playfulness to the mix! You'll be the maestro of product strategy, the voice of our users, and the bridge between dreams and reality. If you have a knack for making product magic happen, we want you on board!

What will you do?

Imagination: Dream up and define a compelling product vision that’s as bold as it is viable, all while keeping it firmly aligned with our client and company goals.

Customer Champion: Champion a deeply customer-focused culture across the team and organisation, actively seeking and integrating user feedback as the invaluable gold at the end of the rainbow.

Roadmap Navigator: Craft and curate a dynamic product roadmap that's less 'static task list' and more 'strategic adventure map,' guiding our journey to deliver maximum value.

Collaborative Catalyst: Collaborate closely with a band of merry cross-functional teammates (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) to bring delightful, high-impact product features to life from concept to launch.

Storytelling Maestro: Spin product concepts and user needs into crystal-clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs so compelling that our development team is eager to build them.

Product Guru & Advocate: Serve as the go-to expert for all things product, dishing out insights, context, and decisions with clarity and conviction.

What you need to succeed
Must-Have

Proven Product Leadership: Experience leading digital product management initiatives from strategy through execution, with a track record of successfully launching and iterating on digital products that customers love. You should have a proven track record of navigating product lifecycle challenges and achieving tangible results.

Agile Methodologies Mastery: Deep practical experience in various agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), successfully leading development teams through sprints, backlogs, and key ceremonies. You understand how manage workloads and to ensure projects are progressing efficiently.

Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Management: exceptional communication skills and able to weave compelling narratives about the product vision, strategy, and features. You can articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships across the business.

Data-Driven Decision Making: A decision-maker so analytical, data practically whispers secrets in your ear. You are adept at defining key metrics, analysing product performance data, understanding user analytics, and using these insights to inform product decisions and strategy.

Collaborative & Inspiring Leadership: A leader who can inspire a team and possesses a collaborative spirit that can unite a team of diverse talents and personalities towards a common goal. You foster an environment of trust, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Problem-Solving Prowess: A problem-solver. You can quickly identify challenges, break them down, evaluate potential solutions, and drive the team towards effective resolutions.

Proficiency with Product Tools: Expert proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, or their equivalents, essential for effective backlog management, documentation, and team collaboration.

Nice-to-Have

Technical Understanding: While not needing to code, a technical wizard with the know-how of software and web enchantments is a significant plus. Understanding the underlying technology, architecture, and development processes enables more effective communication with engineering teams, better estimation of effort, and the ability to identify technical risks and opportunities early.

User Experience (UX) Acumen: A strong appreciation and understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies. While you won't be designing, the ability to critically evaluate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes from a user's perspective and work closely with UX/UI designers is invaluable for building truly delightful products.

Domain Expertise: Experience within the specific industry or domain of the product you will be working on. This provides immediate context, a deeper understanding of user needs and market dynamics, and allows you to hit the ground running with strategic thinking.

Experience with A/B Testing & Experimentation: Practical experience designing, running, and analysing A/B tests or other product experiments. This demonstrates a rigorous approach to optimising features and validating hypotheses based on real user behaviour.
