About this role

This role is within Preqin, part of BlackRock, which is revolutionizing private markets data and technology globally. The Private Markets Data Engineering team, a cross-functional group within Aladdin Data, focuses on innovating how we acquire, manage, and distribute Private Markets data using cutting-edge technologies.

We are seeking a Director-level Product Manager to lead Private Markets Data Acquisition initiatives. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop platforms leveraging automation, machine learning, AI, and other advanced technologies to transform data acquisition and extraction from public sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products that automate Private Markets data acquisition using the latest technologies and AI tools.
  • Lead a team of Product Managers responsible for Private Markets Data Acquisition products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, business SMEs, and other Product Managers to identify problems, develop solutions, and execute effectively.
  • Work with leadership to define strategic goals and determine the best delivery methods.
  • Define and monitor key performance metrics to guide product development.
  • Identify major opportunities and develop roadmaps to capitalize on them.
  • Iteratively build and refine products based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, translating business problems into detailed requirements.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders for continuous discovery and product evolution.
  • Understand stakeholder workflows to develop supportive solutions.
  • Mentor other Product Managers within the team.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in delivering data-driven products leveraging AI, with experience in product strategy and implementation.
  • Strong background in evolving technology product visions, requirements gathering, and design.
  • Experience in building data acquisition systems in financial markets and working in large enterprise environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • High precision and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze datasets and derive insights for product development.
  • Familiarity with technologies like SQL, Python, and experience working with developers and leadership roles.
