Job summary

EY is seeking a Director for CFO Advisory in London to lead high-impact engagements, build senior client relationships and shape the growth of EY-Parthenon’s CFO Advisory offering.

The role focuses on transactions, finance transformation, and value creation, with responsibility for deal execution, client strategy, and market-facing activities. Strong leadership and commercial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in finance transformation, CFO advisory, transaction services, consulting or industry finance.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading large and complex programmes.
• Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and drive change.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise CFOs, Finance Directors, CEOs and investors on transactions, finance transformation, value creation and performance improvement.
• Lead finance workstreams across acquisitions, disposals, integrations, separations, carve-outs and broader business transformation programmes.
• Design and implement finance operating models, organisational structures and process improvements that enhance performance, scalability and control.
• Support clients across the deal lifecycle, including diligence, transaction execution, 100-day planning, integration, separation and exit readiness.
• Drive value creation initiatives including cost reduction, working capital optimisation, cash and liquidity improvement, and P&L enhancement.
• Advise clients on the application of AI, automation, data and digital technologies to improve finance performance and decision-making.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and collaborate across EY service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead complex engagements and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and client impact.
• Develop and grow strategic client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand EY's support and create additional value.
• Originate and lead business development activities, including proposals, market-facing initiatives and sales opportunities.
• Develop innovative CFO Advisory propositions aligned to evolving client needs and market trends.
• Coach and develop team members, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Contribute to the growth, scaling and market profile of the CFO Advisory practice through thought leadership, recruitment and capability development.
