Job summary

MOO, a London-based brand and print/merchandise group, is looking for an analytics engineer or data analyst to own analytical domains end-to-end. You will define metrics in the semantic layer with stakeholders, model data in dbt, and ensure trusted answers are produced wherever used.

You will partner with operations, commercial, finance, and supply chain to unlock analytics capabilities and deliver governance-driven insights for real-world decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and production dbt experience.
• Production experience on a cloud data warehouse with Git-based, review-first workflows.
• Track record of defining metrics with stakeholders and delivering outcomes.
• Demonstrable judgment on whether logic should live in the semantic layer or BI layer.
• Interest in how data analytics evolves with AI and a proactive skills mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across operations, commercial, finance, and supply chain to design data models and unlock analytic capabilities.
• Define metrics, dimensions, and business logic in the semantic layer (dbt Semantic Layer / Snowflake semantic views).
• Deliver reporting through BI tooling (Tableau) with a tool-agnostic mindset and minimize duplicates.
• Curate and validate governed datasets and semantic models for AI/natural-language consumption.
• Champion data literacy and self-service, guiding users toward trusted outputs.
• Review colleagues' work and contribute to modelling standards.
• Demo new features and train business stakeholders as needed.
