Job summary

London Borough of Hounslow is seeking two Direct Payments Officers to join the team. You will support vulnerable residents by explaining Direct Payments, arranging care packages and monitoring accounts, while ensuring compliance and safeguarding as required.

The role involves working with social workers and managers to drive improvements, visiting homes, and helping residents understand options for employing Personal Assistants.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Direct Payments and Care Act.
• Experience with payroll processes and DBS checks.
• Ability to visit residents in their homes and work with carers.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals to set up care packages and monitor accounts.
• Scrutinise direct payment accounts for compliance with plans and outcomes.
• Advise on recruiting and employing private Personal Assistants and set up payroll.
