Job summary

Greensleeves Care is inviting applications for a Dining Room Assistant to support residents in our 26 care homes across England.

In this front-of-house role, you will prepare dining spaces, seat residents, serve meals and assist with feeding while upholding service standards and food hygiene. We welcome applicants with strong communication skills and a commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of food hygiene and its importance to residents.
• Experience in front-of-house, kitchen or customer service roles.

As a Dining Room Assistant, you will:

• Prepare the dining room for the residents’ service
• Assist residents in finding an appropriate seat and table at which to dine
• Serve meals to residents and respond politely and professionally to any additional requests
• Assist residents who require any help to eat or drink
• Undertake cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas as required, including refrigerators, ovens, and microwaves and surrounding work surfaces etc

To apply, you will need:

• Have strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Have an understanding of food hygiene and the importance of food to our residents.
• Prior experience of working in a front of house, kitchen or customer service role.
