Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents across our homes in England. You will help with daily living, preserve dignity, and promote independence in a respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care while safeguarding residents' independence, privacy, dignity and choice.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, washing and toilet use.
• Support mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Assist with personal hygiene including incontinence.

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
• Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
• Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

• An understanding of the needs of residents
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
• Experience of providing care (Desirable)
