Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a Dining Room Assistant to support residents in our care homes across England. You will prepare dining rooms, seat residents, serve meals, and assist with eating and cleaning tasks in a respectful, client-focused environment.

The role requires strong communication, good food hygiene understanding, and prior front-of-house or kitchen experience. UK-based candidates only; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of food hygiene and the importance of food to our residents.
• Prior experience in a front-of-house, kitchen or customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining room for residents’ service.
• Assist residents in finding an appropriate seat and table to dine.
• Serve meals to residents and respond politely to additional requests.
• Assist residents who require help to eat or drink.
• Undertake cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas, including refrigerators, ovens, and work surfaces.

As a Dining Room Assistant, you will:

• Prepare the dining room for the residents’ service
• Assist residents in finding an appropriate seat and table at which to dine
• Serve meals to residents and respond politely and professionally to any additional requests
• Assist residents who require any help to eat or drink
• Undertake cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas as required, including refrigerators, ovens, and microwaves and surrounding work surfaces etc

• Have strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure (Essential)
• Have an understanding of food hygiene and the importance of food to our residents(Essential)
• Prior experience of working in a front of house, kitchen or customer service role(Essential)
