About the Role

Dimensional Quality Inspector - Early/Late Shift

Role overview: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dimensional Quality Inspector on the early/late shift. Early shift operates between 06:00AM - 14:30PM and late shift operates between 14:00PM - 22:30PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting in-process and finished components to tight tolerances.
  • Performing dimensional validation checks of jigs, patterns, moulds and car components.
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working responsibly and proactively in compliance with the team’s reporting structure.
  • Flexible approach to working to support departmental needs with short lead times, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Working within defined Company Health and Safety guidelines.
Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experienced in the use of Absolute Arms.
  • Experienced in the use of Leica Trackers.
  • Operating and running CMM machines.
  • Efficient use of other inspection equipment: shadow graph, hardness tester, micrometers.
  • Practical and working knowledge of GD&T.
  • In-depth knowledge of PolyWorks software for Absolute Arm and Leica scanner.
  • PC-DMIS software for Absolute arms (highly advantageous).
  • PC-DMIS programming on CMM (highly advantageous).
  • Understanding of ERP software (highly advantageous).
  • Composite experience would be advantageous.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and dependable with a strong working relationship across departments.
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications and have a strong working knowledge of engineering drawings with a conscientious mind-set and a keen eye for detail.
