East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a Digital Project Manager to run digital projects on behalf of the Project Board, ensuring workstreams align with board constraints and programme objectives.

The Digital Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of Digital projects under their management on behalf of the relevant Project Board and within the constraints laid down by the board.
The Digital Project Manager is responsible for the ensuring that appropriate planning, resourcing and deployment activities are undertaken to ensure safe and timely implementation of relevant projects within the Trust’s Head of Digital Developments Programme to support the Trust’s strategic objectives. This will include the management of projects that facilitate full interfacing/integration with existing clinical systems and/or the replacement of these systems where appropriate.
The post holder will use recognised project management tools and techniques e.g. PRINCE2 to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget with expected outcomes monitored and achieved. The use of detailed implementation plans and other associated project products e.g. workstream checkpoint reports, risks and issues logs, will be required to aide this.
The Project Manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that projects meet the requirementsof the clinical services, to the necessary standards of quality, and within the specified constraints of time and cost. The Digital Project Manager is also responsible for the project achieving the benefits defined in the business case.
Blackpool Victoria Hospital, or BVH, as it is known locally, is a medium sized NHS District General Hospital (DGH).
The hospital comprises the major element of secondary health care within the wider combined acute and community trust that is the "Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust".
The "Victoria" site of the hospital has around 900 beds which provide care for Acute Medicine in its wider terms and DGH Surgical specialties, including among others, General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Urology and Gynaecology. There is a Women and Children's Unit including both Consultant lead and Midwife lead maternity care.

In line with other NHS organisations in the North West Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. Candidates can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months as a deduction from the monthly salary. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £55.38 and for a Standard Disclosure will be £27.38.
