Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Project Engineer Digital Solutions to lead BIM and information management across UK rail projects. You will define digital requirements, develop BIM Execution Plans, and ensure effective data exchange throughout design, construction, and handover.

You will collaborate with discipline leads and the supply chain to implement practical digital delivery methods, drive QA, and promote 4D sequencing and VR/AR tools to improve planning and delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
• Data Systems / Data Analytics / BIM Certification and Security qualifications may be advantageous.
• Knowledge of BIM, Digital Engineering, and information management within Rail and wider infrastructure.
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn across technical subjects and engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Engage with project stakeholders to identify and define Digital Engineering and Information Management requirements.
• Produce and maintain BIM and information management deliverables (BIM Execution Plan, Responsibility Matrix, Master Information Delivery Plan).
• Establish and manage project processes to support the delivery and exchange of design information.
• Support integration of BIM/digital processes into post-design, construction, testing, and handover phases.
• Collaborate with discipline leads and supply chain to implement cost-effective digital delivery approaches.
• Upskill project teams and supply chain in use of Common Data Environment and digital tools.
• Provide technical leadership to post-design teams and digital champions.
• Lead QA, lessons learned, and continuous improvement for digital tools and processes.
• Promote graphical deliverables, clash detection, 4D sequencing to improve planning and coordination.
