Job summary

Thales UK in Crawley is offering a 24-month Digital Product Owner Apprentice role. You will learn to define, prioritise and deliver product outcomes while working with engineering, design, data and domain specialists.

You will shadow experienced product owners, contribute to discovery, produce lightweight docs, and support change management. The programme blends academic study with hands-on experience and can lead to a permanent role.

Qualifications

• 1 A Level or equivalent required (any subject).
• 5 GCSEs grade 9-4, including English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Interest in digital product management and learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Working with experienced product owners, AIDMs and teams on live initiatives to learn effective product practices.
• Shadowing Product Owners and AIDMs to understand customer and stakeholder needs, translating them into clear product goals and requirements.
• Contributing to product discovery, including defining user problems, assumptions and success metrics.
• Supporting backlog refinement by collecting input, flagging risks, and proposing reworded requirements for clarity.
• Supporting validation through demos, feedback loops and continuous improvement of product outcomes.
• Conducting stakeholder and user research and summarising findings.
