Job summary

Thales UK is offering a 24-month Digital Product Owner Apprenticeship that blends academic study with hands-on experience. You will develop product knowledge, work with engineering, design and data teams, and help turn user needs into clear outcomes and priorities.

The programme includes live online lectures, training resources and a final End Point Assessment, with a pathway to a permanent role. Applicants must have 5 GCSEs incl. English and Maths and at least one A Level or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1 A Level in any subject or BTEC equivalent or Level 3 Apprenticeship
• 5 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A-C) including English and Maths (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Working with experienced product owners to learn effective product practices
• Shadowing Product Owners to understand customer and stakeholder needs
• Contributing to product discovery and defining user problems, hypotheses and success measures
• Supporting backlog refinement and reworded requirements for clarity
• Supporting validation through demos, feedback loops and continuous improvement of product outcomes
• Conducting stakeholder and user research (e.g., interviews, surveys) and summarising findings
• Producing lightweight documentation (e.g., user story notes, release notes drafts)
• Supporting change management activities such as training materials and rollout checklists

Education

A Level or BTEC equivalent or Level 3 Apprenticeship
