Job summary

Safran in Cwmbran, South Wales is seeking a Digital Mock Up Engineer to support the product structure lifecycle. You will work with CATIA V5 and multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust digital models, data quality, and compliant processes while driving continuous improvement in collaboration with customers.

The role requires a degree/HNC/HND in engineering and experience in aerospace/automotive design, with a strong focus on geometry, space allocations, and design data management.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND in Engineering required.
• Proficiency with Catia V5 and Smarteam systems.
• Knowledge of engineering release and approval processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in aerospace/automotive design teams.
• Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead DMU structures and update Space Allocation Models per DMU standards.
• Prepare certification documents including Test BOMs and Definition Control Models.
• Ensure data quality and validation via maturity models.
• Coordinate with design teams to maintain master geometry and interfaces.
• Prepare and validate data for submission to OEMs like Airbus/Boeing.
• Maintain CATIA V5 data quality and clash checks.
• Contribute to process improvements and methodology development.
