Job summary

Safran invites applications for a Digital Mock Up Engineer at our Cwmbran, South Wales site. You will champion DMU across the product structure lifecycle, ensuring robust, compliant digital models as you collaborate with design and customer teams.

You will lead LOPA structures, update space allocation models, and prepare OEM submission packages to Airbus and Boeing, while maintaining data quality in Catia V5 and contributing to process improvements. Hybrid working applies.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• Proficiency with Catia V5 and Smarteam.
• Experience in aerospace design teams.
• Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus specifications.
• Excellent communication and coordinating skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of DMU structures, updating design data and Space Allocation Models per DMU standards.
• Prepare certification support documents including Test BOMs and Definition Control Models.
• Guarantee data quality in Catia V5 with clashes checks and reviews.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and composite design teams to ensure consistency.
• Prepare and validate design data for submission to major OEMs (Airbus/Boeing).
• Support process improvement and share best practices across teams.
