The role offers hybrid working from Whiteley with in-office Mon-Wed and remote Thu-Fri, requiring 2+ years in digital marketing, WordPress experience, and strong copywriting.
African Adventures creates life-changing international volunteering experiences for schools, colleges and charities, enabling groups to make a meaningful difference in communities across Ghana, Kenya, Zanzibar and The Gambia. We're a unique organisation, combining the expertise of a tour operator with the purpose of an international development organisation. We deliver life-changing volunteering experiences for schools, colleges and charities, providing a fully managed travel service that includes everything from flights and accommodation to pre-departure support and fundraising guidance. At the same time, we work closely with our partner schools across Africa to improve school facilities, expand educational opportunities and create lasting, positive impact for the communities we support.
In addition, we deliver impact into our partnered schools through our very own Charity, African Adventures Foundation. Through the foundation we deliver life changing projects seeing the school environment and the learning experience of thousands of African children drive up education inline with our mission to make thousands more global citizens.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Digital Marketing Officer to help strengthen African Adventures’ online presence and support our continued growth.
It’s an exciting time to join us, with opportunities to develop how we promote our company and foundation across the UK and our destinations in Africa.
This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of our digital marketing activities, from managing our websites and email campaigns to creating content and delivering social media activity that supports our organisational and charity objectives.
Working closely with teams across the organisation, you’ll plan and deliver integrated campaigns, ensuring our communications are consistent with our brand and wider strategic goals. You’ll also monitor performance, analyse data and identify opportunities to improve results and make the most of our digital channels.
You’ll join a supportive, people-focused organisation where you can take ownership of your work and play an important role in shaping our digital marketing activity.
The role follows a hybrid working pattern, with Monday to Wednesday based at our Whiteley HQ and Thursday and Friday working remotely.
You’ll have experience in digital marketing, with a good understanding of websites, email marketing, social media and content creation.
You’ll bring strong copywriting and communication skills, excellent organisational abilities and a confident, analytical approach to measuring performance and improving results.
Experience in educational travel, the charity sector or international development would be advantageous. Most importantly, you’ll be collaborative, adaptable and keen to develop your skills in a purpose-driven organisation.
We’re proud to be a small, effective team with a clear sense of purpose, creating genuinely life-changing volunteering experiences and lasting impact. If you’d like to be part of this, we’d love to hear from you.
