Johnson Controls in Stockport (United Kingdom) is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to drive digital transformation in our manufacturing engineering team. You will lead data-driven improvements, implement OEE monitoring across CNC and automated systems, and guide automation opportunities with cross-functional teams.

Travel to other UK and international Johnson Controls sites is expected as needed. This site-based role emphasizes improving operational performance through hardware and software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience developing and supporting digital manufacturing, automation or industrial control systems.
• Strong SPC knowledge and use of control charts to monitor process performance.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs and industrial automation systems.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and implement OEE monitoring and data collection systems across CNC machining and automated assembly equipment.
• Analyse manufacturing data to identify productivity improvements, reduce downtime and support continuous improvement.
• Modify and troubleshoot PLC-controlled automated machinery.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for automation with cross-functional teams to define machine specifications and RFQ activities.
• Act as the site Digital Lead, driving digital transformation projects and supporting new technologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to align digital projects with business objectives.
• Recommend and implement hardware and software upgrades to improve operational performance.
• Troubleshoot, programme and reteach Fanuc robotic systems.
• Provide technical expertise for electrical, controls and automation issues across the site.
• Support best-practice manufacturing engineering principles and process improvements.
