Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Digital Manager to lead AI-enabled digital capabilities and shape the roadmap for customer and adviser experiences. You will manage cross-functional squads, balance delivery with risk, and deliver data-driven improvements across Digital, Technology, Operations and Risk.

In this role you will use insights and market intelligence to identify opportunities, drive continuous improvement and ensure regulatory and architectural standards are met, while fostering collaboration

Qualifications

• AI experience required.
• Proven experience leading digital products, customer journeys or platforms with accountability for outcomes, roadmaps and priorities.
• Experience working in an Agile team, including backlog management and cross-functional squads.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to align business and tech teams.
• Experience using data, analytics and customer insight to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

We're growing our digital capability and are looking for a Digital Manager to help drive the next phase of Royal London's digital transformation. This role focuses specifically on AI capabilities.

Joining our Chief Digital Office, you'll have the opportunity to evolve our customer-facing AI proposition, with full product lifecycle management. Working at the heart of large-scale digital change, you'll shape roadmaps, influence priorities and lead cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, data-driven experiences that make a real difference.

You'll collaborate with experts across Digital, Technology, Operations, Proposition, Marketing, Group Data Office and Risk, using customer insight, analytics and market trends to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful improvements.

Whether enhancing existing digital services, launching new capabilities or improving customer and adviser outcomes, you'll play a key role in turning strategy into measurable results.

About the role

Own and evolve our channel-facing AI service, AI-enabled products or digital capabilities, defining the roadmap and priorities to deliver measurable customer, adviser and business outcomes.

Lead and work within agile cross-functional squads, providing direction, managing priorities and balancing delivery pace with risk and control requirements.

Use customer insight, analytics and market intelligence to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

Work closely with Digital, Operations, Proposition, Marketing and Risk teams to deliver joined-up, high-quality digital experiences.

Monitor and measure the impact of change, ensuring benefits are realised and outcomes are tracked.

Manage risks, dependencies and governance requirements, ensuring delivery meets regulatory, security and architectural standards.

Coach and influence colleagues, fostering collaboration, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.

About you

AI experience required

Proven experience leading digital products, customer journeys or platforms, with accountability for outcomes, roadmaps and priorities.

Experience of working in an Agile team, including backlog management and working within cross-functional squads

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across business and technology teams.

Experience using data, analytics and customer insight to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, risk and regulatory requirements when making decisions – particularly when bringing innovative technologies into regulated environments

Confident communicator, able to simplify complex topics and engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment is essential.
