The Knowledge and Library Service at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Library Assistant and Digital Enabler at Band 3 to support library functions and knowledge services for clinicians and staff in Sheffield.

You will catalogue, acquire and promote digital and physical collections, manage laptop loans and oversee article requests, using Koha and standard library practices, with a focus on patient and staff information needs and confidentiality.

Formación

• GCSEs incl English Language & Maths (C/4 grade or above)
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
• IT qualification such as ECDL or equivalent experience
• Evidence of continued professional development

Responsabilidades

• Support in the delivery of library and knowledge services to meet the information needs of Sheffield Teaching Hospital staff
• Support with the development, organisation, and promotion of the digital and physical collections of STH
• Run day-to-day operations of the physical library including enquiries, registrations, circulation, shelving and routine tasks
• Purchase new titles in line with organisational requirements
• Use Koha to catalogue new books and classify stock per existing systems
• Manage Laptop loans via the Library Management System for the Learning and Development Department
• Oversee the article request service ensuring papers are sourced timely for clinicians
