Job summary

Aberdeen is seeking a talented engineer to deliver and support modern digital services across front-end and back-end layers. You will work on cloud-hosted applications, APIs and integrations, while collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, UX teams and business stakeholders to achieve robust, scalable solutions.

Key tasks include building and maintaining automated tests with Playwright, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring secure, high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining automated tests with Playwright.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD automation.
• Experience building REST APIs or back-end services in C#/.NET.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support digital applications, APIs, services and integrations across Aberdeen’s digital estate.
• Build and support cloud-hosted applications within Microsoft Azure with CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, UX teams and business stakeholders.
• Monitor live services, investigate incidents, and resolve issues.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

• Based in Edinburgh, this permanent role offers the opportunity to work across front-end applications, back-end services, cloud infrastructure and enterprise integrations. You will develop, deliver and support digital solutions that provide exceptional client experiences while building your skills across a broad technology stack
• Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, UX specialists and business stakeholders, you will solve technical challenges, contribute to engineering excellence and help shape modern digital services.
